Urban artist N4T4 will be spraying a mural inspired by the theme of ‘Unity’ on the side of The Container Project’s titular eponymous shipping container outside Portsmouth Cathedral from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st October 2017.

The Container Project forms part of Journeys Festival International’s Portsmouth programme, which works across a wide range of creative media and disciplines to help share refugee experiences through art and culture.

Schools, colleges, and artists are invited to watch and respond creatively to the work.

The Container Project transforms a shipping container into an immersive project space for the run of Journeys Festival. Positioned outside Portsmouth Cathedral, it will be sited at the heart of Old Portsmouth, with the waterfront just a stone’s throw away.

The space will host an oral storytelling exhibition from local migrants, new and old, and provide a canvas for this live graffiti painting project. It’ll also be home to an exciting digital drumming showcase from The Gambia.
