A gripping 40-minute talk about two remarkable female spies and the man who ran them: an animal-loving drop-out who went on to become MI5’s greatest spymaster.

Henry Hemming is the author of five works of non-fiction, including the New York Times bestseller The Ingenious Mr Pyke. His most recent book, M, is being turned into a TV series by Mammoth Screen (Poldark, NW, Victoria).

A Q&A and book signing will follow after this Portsmouth Festivities event.

Entry will be through the door to the right of the main Central Library double doors, using the elevator or stairs in the small foyer area to go up to the third floor.

Tickets for the talk, which takes place from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, are £6.00.
