O Duo — Portsmouth Festivities 2018 opening gala concert

Globally renowned for their ‘phenomenal artistry’ (The Daily Telegraph), O Duo’s international credits include the BBC Proms, Al Bustan Palace, and performances alongside the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Passionate supporters of new music, O Duo have been recognised by the Borletti-Buitoni Trust, earning a Special Commissioning Award.

As part of the night’s unique performance, students from Portsmouth Grammar School will take to the stage to join O Duo in their invigorating mix of popular classics and accessible contemporary music such as Soler, Mendelssohn, and Glass.

This opening gala concert takes place at Portsmouth Cathedral from 8:00pm on Friday 15th June 2018.

Tickets are £16 for adults or £12 for seniors (aged 60 and up), students (with ID), and children (aged 15 and under).

Portsmouth Festivities 2018

From Friday 15th to Sunday 24th June 2018, Portsmouth Festivities host a ten-day programme of artistic and cultural events. This year, Portsmouth Festivities celebrates the theme of ‘FREEDOM’, marking the centenary of women’s suffrage and the 100th birthday of Nelson Mandela. Events will explore ideas of creative freedom in a wide-ranging programme of music, theatre, talks, and film, and so much more.
