It’s August and that can only mean one thing — Victorious Festival is back and winging its way to Southsea Common.
This year is even bigger – and better- treating the city to top-drawer musicians, amazing extras (including the brand new comedy stage!) and fun for all the family as the gates open this Bank Holiday weekend.
The Victorious 2018 line-up is heaving with musical legends like Paul Weller, and Brian Wilson (Saturday) as well as newer stars like Paloma Faith (Saturday) and synth-pop outfit Years & Years (Sunday). Plus Portsmouth will be treated to a UK Festival exclusive of The Prodigy tearing up the Sunday night headline slot.
Away from the Common and Castle stages the fun doesn’t stop – with even more tents and stages across the site you can discover local talent at the Showcase Stage or experience some international flavour at the World Music Village.
Adding to the festival experience, the site will be host to traders, local organisations, Instagram-worthy food vendors and a range of drinks from champagne to real-ale. There’s even the brand new Street Food Way to get your fix of Cauliflower Buffalo Wings or Halloumi Fries.
If you’re bringing the kids they’ll be completely enthralled with the Kids Arena. This year its hands-on activities include a Nerf battle area from Action Stations and a chance to catch some air with the mini-wheelers sessions with Southsea Skatepark. They can also craft rockets, play football and meet famous characters like Paddington Bear.
And, if you can’t make it, Johnny Vaughan and Gordon Smart will also be transmitting the festival live on Radio X so you won’t miss out on any of the action.
Grab your tickets for the Friday 24th August, Saturday 25th August and Sunday 26th August and make sure you don’t miss out on a weekend full of fantastic fun, cracking music and excitement.
