10 springtime things to enjoy in Portsmouth and Southsea

10-Springtime-Things-in-Portsmouth-Southsea.jpg

January and February are December’s Christmas hangover: the cold wet weather lingers, and things just aren’t quite as fun. March starts turning things around, but when April arrives and brings spring with it, stuff really starts kicking off.

Almost every other day has been hot and sunny this month. The shorts are out in full force, those good springtime vibes have made a comeback, and there are loads of opportunities to get out and enjoy the city.

Here are ten things we’re looking forward to this spring!

A pint or five on Brewhouse & Kitchen’s terrace

Brewhouse & Kitchen in Guildhall Walk have just opened their rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy a home-brewed beverage whilst soaking up the rays.

While you’re there, enjoy Burger Mondays, Wings Wednesdays, Meet the Brewer Thursdays, and other events and offers. See their brews and food on their website »

Shop local at the monthly Love Southsea Markets

And, ideal for lunchtime, they always offer a diverse selection of street food traders!

We’re so happy South Parade Pier has reopened! Head along on one of the many sunny days we’re enjoying right now, take in the views, and try your luck on a massive hall of arcade games — a mix of old and modern classics await you.

And take a stroll along Southsea Beach while you’re there, too. Get an ice cream from the pier, sit with your feet touching the tide, and watch boats glide in and out of the harbour.
